Rourkela`s former National ‘B’ champion Pabitra Mohan Mohanty won the title despite losing to Fide Master Soumya Ranjan Mishra in the 10th and last round of the 17th Makhanlal Haldar Memorial All-Orissa Open Chess Tournament, which concluded at Durgabari Samiti in Puri today. Puri MLA Maheswar Mohanty gave away the trophy and cash prizes in the closing function. The tournament was organised by Puri District Chess Association.
